Venture Lab

The Catalyst Incubator.

We believe the best way to understand systems engineering is to build things people want. The Venture Lab pairs teen developers with active tech founders and VCs to launch real products and startups.

The Incubator Approach

Skip the sandbox. Build real ventures.

Our students aren't writing theoretical business plans. Under the direction of active software engineers and startup builders, they research user demands, build working prototypes, configure cloud infrastructure, and release open-source systems.

"At Catalyst, a student project doesn't end with a grade. It ends with a deployment, an active user base, or a venture pitch."

1-2-1 VC & Founder Mentorship

Every student in the Venture Lab is paired 1-2-1 with active tech founders, seasoned developers, or seed-stage venture capitalists who review code, audit architecture, and coach pitch delivery.

Founder's Match Grants

We provide match-funding grants directly to student projects to cover AWS hosting, specialized hardware components, database hosting, or business registration costs.

The Pitch Defense Panel

At the end of the term, students defend their business models and systems live before a panel of tech executives and venture investors for constructive, real-world feedback.

Accelerated Recognition

Whether students go on to top-tier universities, seek elite degree-apprenticeships, or register their startup straight out of school, the Venture Lab provides a validated, high-profile portfolio.

Incubation Roadmap

From concept to deployment.

Phase 1: Demand & Architecture Mapping
Students identify real user challenges, define database schemas, and map out cloud infrastructure (AWS/Linux diagrams) under teacher guidance.
Phase 2: MVP Development & CI/CD Setup
Code is committed to Git. Continuous integration and testing pipelines are established, automated using Ansible and deployed on cloud instances.
Phase 3: Founder & VC Audits
Dedicated 1-2-1 sessions with active tech executives to stress-test backend security, database queries, and user experience loops.
Phase 4: Live Defense & Launch
The system is presented live to an external investor panel, defended technically, and launched to public beta or open-source availability.
